Actors Factory To Perform Series Of Short Plays Based On Novels | Events
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The Stoughton youth theater company Actor’s Factory will take to the stage at the Stoughton Opera House on March 11-13.
The group said it plans to turn classic literature on its head in "Novel Ideas," a show featuring short plays about great stories, all written specially for the company by great local playwrights.
Actor’s Factory performers are kids between the ages of 11-17, but director Deanna Reed said that doesn't mean that they perform kids’ theater.
Her vision for the troupe she founded in 2003 is simple.
"I want people to leave the theater thinking they just saw a genuinely great piece of theater that just happened to be performed by youth," Reed said.
Admission is free, but a $5 donation is recommended. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. To learn more about the show, check out the Actor’s Factory website at actorsfactory.com or their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ActorsFactory.
